Hi! I’m Katie (she/her).
I’m a Scottish immigrant living in Reykjavik, Iceland, who loves to read and talk about books.
I’ve loved reading since I was a little tot. I read every Jacqueline Wilson book there was, until one of my teachers told me that I’d have to read more broadly if I wanted to improve my school marks.
That teacher did me a favour. I still loved Jacqueline Wilson’s stories, but I made it my mission to read as many books as I could; from a range of different authors and genres.

I got lost in the world of Wicca, I cried reading coming-of-age poetry, and I asked myself difficult questions while devouring Malorie Blackman’s ‘Noughts and Crosses’ series.
It was a few years of revelation, exploration and growth… that I’ve continued to embrace.
There’s nothing I love more than browsing bookshops, getting lost in the library, or settling down in a cosy coffee shop with a good book.

I’ve also caught the travel bug and have discovered some of my favourite authors while browsing book shops abroad – most recently in Iceland where I discovered a love for Yrsa Sigurdardottir’s crime writing.
If I’m not reading or planning my next adventure, you’ll find me working out. I enjoy running, HIIT, netball and pilates… to name a few.

If you have a project you’d like to work on together, please do contact me!
